INTERNET SERVICES
World Wide Web(www)

  • While the Internet was developed in the late 1960's, the World Wide Web emerged in the early 1990's as an easier way to access online information using a browser. Since then, it has grown phenomenalty to become one of the more widely used services on the Internet.
  • The World Wide Web(www), or web, consists of a worldwide collection of electronic documents. Each electronic document on the web is called a webpage, which can contain text, graphic, animation, audio, and video.
e-mail

  • Email(short for electronic mail) is the transmission of messages and files via a computer network. Email was one of the original services on the internet, enabling scientists and researchers working on government-sponsored projects to communicate with colleagues at other locations.
  • You can use an email program to create, send, receive, forward, store, print, and delete email messages. Email programs are available as desktop apps, web apps, and mobile apps. An email message can be simple text or can include an attachment such as a document, a graphic, an audio clip, or a video clip.
  • Just as you address a letter when using the portal system, you address an email message with the email address of your intended recipient. Likewise, when someone sends you a message, he or she must have your email address.
  • An email address is a combination of a user name and a domain name that identifies a user so that he or she can receive Internet email. A user name is a unique combination of characters, such as letters of the alphabet and/or numbers, that identifies a specific user. Your user name must be different from the other user names in the same domain.
Instant Messaging

  • Internet messaging services, which often occur in real-time, are communications services that notify you when one or more of your established contacts are online and then allows you to exchange messages or files or join a private chat room with them.
  • Real time means that you and the people with whom you are conversing are online at the same time. Some Internet messaging services support voice and video conversations, allow you to send photos or other documents to a recipient, listen to streaming music, and play games with another online contact.
  • For real-time Internet messaging to work, both parties must be online at the same time. Also, the receiver of a message must be willing to accept messages. To use an Internet messaging service, you may have to install messenger software or an app on the computer or mobile device, such as a smartphone, you plan to use.
Voice over Internet Protocol(VoIP)

  • Definition: Conversation that takes place over the Internet using a telephone connected to a computer, mobile device, or other device.
  • Also called Internet telephony.
  • Enables users to speak to other users via Internet connection.
  • To connect a calling party to one or more local or long distance called parties.
  • Example: Skype, WeChat, Kakao Talk
To place an Internet telephone call, you need:
  • a high-speed Internet connection(such as DSL or Cable Modem)
  • Internet telephone service
  • a microphone or telephone
  • internet telephone software or VoIP router
VoIP services are also available on some mobile services that have wireless Internet service.

Message Board

  • Definition: An online area in which users have written discussions about a particular subject
  • Also called as discussion forum.
  • Type of discussion group.
  • Not real-time.
To participate in a discussion, a user posts a message, called an article, to the newsgroup, and other users in the newsgroup read and reply to the message.

A thread, or threaded discussion, consists of the original article and all subsequent related replies.

Some discussion forums require that you enter a user name and password to participate in the discussion.

For example, a discussion forum for students taking a college course may require a user name and password to access the forum. This ensures that only students in the course participate in the discussion. Posts in a discussion forum usually are stored for a certain amount of time, such as a semester, in this example.

File Transfer Protocol(FTP)

  • Definition: Internet standard that permits file uploading and downloading with other computers on the Internet.
  • A standard for the exchange of program and data files across a network.
  • Uploading is the process of transferring files from your computer or mobile device to a server on the internet.
  • Downloading is the process of transferring files from a server on the internet to your computer or mobile device.
  • Example: FileZilla, AbleFTP, SmartFTP
FTP is one method, users have to transfer web pages files from their local machine to the server.

An FTP server is a computer that allows users to upload and/or download file using FTP.

An FTP site is a collection of that reside on an FTP server.

Some FTP sites restrict file transfers to those who have authorized accounts( user names and passwords) on the FTP server.

HONDA CIVIC TYPE R

Race-Ready from the Inside Out
.Race-inspired Lightweight Bucket Front Seats keep you in place during hard corners while still being comfortable enough for your daily drives
  • +R Driving Mode is one of three customized drive modes that automatically retunes the suspension, throttle and steering settings for maximum performance
  • Customizable Digital Meter Display shows you boost pressure, g-forces and track times so you can maximize your performance

A Heart-Racing Heritage
  • The 2.0-liter i-VTEC® Turbocharged Engine is exclusive to the Civic Type R, kicking out 306 horsepower* and 295 lb.-ft. of torque*
  • The Adaptive Damper System (ADS) controls the suspension action for heart-pumping handling and stability on the road or the track
  • Limited Slip Differential offers tighter cornering and better control for more confidence behind the wheel

Lower, Wider, Road-Ready
  • A Track-Tested Aero Kit features front and side splitters, a rear diffuser, vortex generators and a wing, all designed to keep the Civic Type R planted on the asphalt
  • The Center-Exit Triple-Exhaust Tip System bellows a throaty growl that announces the arrival of the Civic Type R to the world
  • 20-Inch Black Alloy Wheels keep the rubber on the road in style and frame the large, track-tested red brake calipers

The Type R’s wild exterior turns up the aggression several ticks compared with the standard Civic hatchback, which itself already wears a funkier look than Civic sedan and coupe models. A carbon-fiber-look body kit with a red accent line joins a hood scoop, a few extra vents, and a massive rear wing to complete the R’s visual statement. Small fins along the rear hatch combine with the wing to increase downforce, and three large center-mounted exhaust outlets should produce raucous sounds. The red Honda badge that’s de rigueur among Type R variants is featured prominently in front and back.

The color red highlights the interior as well, with in-your-face red trim for the steering wheel, sport seats, and gauge cluster. Faux carbon-fiber trim adorns the dashboard, while a serialized Type R plaque on the center console should make owners feel special.

Assalamualaikum to all my viewer .
Today , I want you enjoy about my post and I will talk about my NETWORK

What is the NETWORK ???
a network is a collection of computers and devices connected together via communication devices and transmission media.

Network Topology

What is a network TOPOLOGY ????
A network topology refers to the layout of the computer and devices in a communication network

Two types of layout in the network topology.
1)physical topology
2)logical topology

3 types of network topology :

A network topology that is set up in a circular fashion in which data travels around the ring in one direction & each device on the ring acts as a repeater to keep the signal strong as it travels. Each device incorporates a receiver for the incoming signal & a transmitter to send the data on to the next device in the ring. The network is dependent on the ability of the signal to travel around the ring. When a device sends data, it must travel through each device on the ring until it reaches its destination. Every node is a critical link. In a ring topology, there is no server computer present. All nodes work as a server & repeat the signal. The disadvantage of this topology is that if one node stops working, the entire network is affected or stops working.

Star Topology

In local area networks with a star topology, each network host is connected to a central hub with a point-to-point connection. In Star topology every node (computer workstation or any other peripheral) is connected to a central node called hub or switch. The switch is the server & the peripherals are the clients. The network does not necessarily have to resemble a star to be classified as a star network, but all of the nodes on the network must be connected to one central device. All traffic that traverses the network passes through the central hub. The hub acts as a signal repeater. The star topology is considered the easiest topology to design and implement. An advantage of the star topology is the simplicity of adding additional nodes. The primary disadvantage of the star topology is that the hub represents a single point of failure.

Bus Topology

In local area networks where bus topology is used, each node is connected to a single cable. Each computer or server is connected to the single bus cable. A signal from the source travels in both directions to all machines connected on the bus cable until it finds the intended recipient. If the machine address does not match the intended address for the data, the machine ignores the data. Alternatively, if the data matches the machine address, the data is accepted. Because the bus topology consists of only one wire, it is rather inexpensive to implement when compared to other typologies. However, the low cost of implementing the technology is offset by the high cost of managing the network. Additionally, because only one cable is utilized, it can be the single point of failure.

AIM TO EXCEL
1. Believe in Yourself

Self-confidence is single-handily one of the most important things you can have in your life. If you believe that you can do something that alone gives enough strength to complete the task.
So if you combine your desire for success with your self-confidence and belief in yourself, you will light such a fire that you will have an unlimited drive, which will greatly help you achieve excellence.

2. Learn from the Best ( Role Models)

Rather than doing everything on your own. Try to learn from the best of people who have already done everything that you are doing now. These people who have already achieved success have built-in themselves all the skills and habits required to be excellent and successful and you can learn a lot from them.

3. Work really Hard

Success comes to those who put the work in. So using your strong drive put everything you got into your goal. The more you feed your goal with energy and love the more fruit it will give you.
Also the more focused you stay the better; people tend to work really hard but towards the wrong things. So if your goal is to become a good student and this means you have to also do good in physical education, don‰’t waste all of your energy towards running and working out.
Distribute your energy evenly and focus on the areas which are more important.

4 . Never Give Up

No matter what bumps you face on your journey to excellence. Never give up. Just like goals break down any big problems you face into smaller more manageable chunks and get out there and achieve your goal.

STRIVE TO SUCCESS

whatever stage you are at with your career , there are little thing that you can do every day to make your life better , brighter and more successful . As to how you define success that well that's up to you .Whether you are striving for small accomplishment, great achievements or both , here are four little things you can do every day to enrich your life.

1.Get up early

Yes, that'every day .Getting up early gives you time to get ahead . Whether its  conquering work email, revision or just having time to plan your day , rising early means you get a head start. When you first try it , there is no denying it can be a tad tiring ... So ease yourself in gently. But once you are returned your clock, you'll feel positively empowered. And if you want to take it step further, why not return to William Blake for inspiration : 'THINK IN THE MORNING , ACT IN THE NOON ,READ IN THE EVENING , AND SLEEP AT NIGHT.'

2.Get in touch with someone you have not spoken to in a while

Be it a friend or potential professional contact. We are all guilty of being too consumed in our daily lives.you might be focused on a big project that sees you working ludicrously long hours , or studying for all important exam . In a recent interview , the rower James Cracknell said that the unqualified regret he wishes he could amend was 'letting key friendships drift because of my dedication to rowing and the Olympics'.
When you speak with older generation , so often when they look back , it's not that they wished they had worked more,it's more that they wish they had spend more time with the people that matter .Ask someone how they are . You never know , you might be just the person they need.

3.Write a Hand Written Note

Say thank you . Say sorry. The message is up to you . This small gesture takes a matter of minutes, but will make someone very happy and remind you of how important it is to think of others. And sometimes it's just good to pick up an old fashioned pen . You might be surprised how it makes you think differently about what you 're writing.

4.Stay connected ... but Not in the way that you think

As a child, did you find unequivocal joy crunching autumn leaves under your feet ?If so, the changes are , you still find this remarkable satisfying . Staying connected with your inner child pleasures and the simple things in life... can really help you when you 're getting sucked into the chaos of a university term . This won't turn you into an overnight success , but it'll certainly make some days a lot more fun.
